I learned it at camp. and what you do is there are a whole bunch of people and they each hold a rope. the ropes are short and have knots on each end. each person holds one knot in each hand.. once everybody is ready everybody goes around in a circle around the barrel. and you can pull people to the barrel but you cannot trip or physically touch them to make them touch the barrel. each person who touches the barrel in any way, or lets go of the rope, is out. and you go ’til last person standing. what’s the name of this game?

even if you knot off the string as close to the opening in the clasp as you can, when it slides into the barrel to be hidden you still end up with 1/4″ or so slack in the necklace. Any ideas?
