I found this book had every major fishing knot type and good comments on where and when to use them. The subject is simple, yet covered in depth. In summary, I think it is a handy reference guide to both beginner and "old salty" fishermen. If you find you cannot tie a knot that holds in monofilament or "spider" type lines, this book is very helpful. The step by step illustrations are some of the best I have seen.

Simple, colorful, beautifully illustrated. A perfect entry level book for Scouts, campers, outdoorsmen. Will guide even those with two left hands ! Another winner for the Basic Essentials series.
